Officer Applications: Still Accepting

The year is quickly coming to a close and its time to start transitioning new BAP members and candidates into officer positions for the 2015-2016 academic school year. If you are interested in becoming a BAP officer or stepping into another leadership role, now is your chance!

The application has been attached below as both a Word Document and a PDF. We ask that you submit your application as a PDF, but understand that some individuals prefer to fill it out on a Word Document first and then convert it to a PDF. Additionally, please read the application in its entirety before filling it out as there is crucial information pertaining to the responsibilities and time commitments when assuming an officer position/leadership role.

Below is a quick overview of the key aspects of the application process:

Meet the Firms

When: Thursday, May 5th @ 5pm

Where: North Creek Event Center

What: UWB-BAP’s annual event allowing students one on one time with as many accounting firms as possible.

Why: Professionals from public accounting firms in the area will be in attendance. Don’t miss out on an invaluable opportunity to meet professionals ahead of fall recruiting and to build your network.

Dress: Business Professional, please wear a suit and/or formal attire. First impressions make the difference!

Hello Everyone!

This week, we have Amazon coming to discuss opportunities in private accounting. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in private accounting. Dinner will start around 5:45 with the meeting starting around 6pm.

What: Volunteering for Hopelink in Redmond.

When: Friday, April 29th, from 2:30-4:30 PM

Where: Redmond Center, 16725 Cleveland St, Redmond, WA  98052.  When driving down Cleveland, HopeLink’s Food Bank is located on the right hand side.  Our driveway is immediately after the Computer Surplus store.  If you see Value Village, you have gone too far and need to turn around.

Why: When a family doesn’t have enough food – the most basic human need – stability in other areas is impossible. Hopelink provides food for survival and nutrition education for self-sufficiency.

Parking: There is a parking lot in the back of the building.

Earth Day Volunteer Event

When: April 23rd (Earth Day) from 10am – 2pm.

Where: 20218 108th Ave. NE Bothell, WA 98011 (use google maps)

Why: To get service hours for BAP.

What is provided: Tools, gloves and equipment for the day. However, please wear boots or shoes that are appropriate for muddy work, as well as, a reusable water bottle. Lunch is provided too!
